One

Okay, it isn't because I'm a huge U2 fan and a bigger Bono fan. It isn't even about the cool TV ad. It's because it's a GOOD campaign.

"The ONE Campaign is an effort by Americans to rally Americans – one by one – to fight the emergency of global AIDS and extreme poverty. ONE is students and ministers, punk rockers and NASCAR moms, Americans of all beliefs and every walk of life, united to help make poverty history."

The premise of this campaign is belief that allocating an additional ONE percent of the U.S. budget toward providing basic needs (health care, education, water, food, etc.) would assist in wiping out crises such as hunger, AIDS, poverty, and disease.

It gives a hands UP not hand out to poor countries, enabling them to fight corruption and use money desperately needed to combat these issues.

It isn't much to join the fight. It isn't much to buy a bracelet or contact your local politicians. BUT it's everything to care enough to do it. So, please, DO IT!
